This market is one that I have spent a lot of time stopped in front of but have never stopped at. Traffic starts backing up about 3 blocks south of Mae & Helen’s from the stoplights several blocks north at 79th and then 82nd street. It can take over 15 min to get through this intersection during evening rush hour, but the surrounding streets are smaller and even worse. Inching forward through bumper to bumper traffic for many blocks I have had opportunity to observe the market over time. There is almost no vehicle traffic that pulls out of traffic - and the market has only two dirt parking spaces on the north end of the building - but the market seems to have a good flow of foot traffic into and out of the business at all hours.
